comm 229: Zombieland

Oh man!!!! I just saw this movie last night and it was wicked awesome. You have to love Woody Harrolson. (or however it is you spell his last name). This movie was really very well done, and was actually very funny. I must admit that I was a trifle worried that it wouldn't be as good as everyone has said it is. Sometimes I tend not to like 'funny' movies. For example: Anchorman.
But, anyway. In one scene of the movie Tallahassee and Columbus are hijacked (again) and the little girl is in the back seat. Columbus mentions her efficiency with a gun, and do you know what she replies? "It's all those violent video games".
So there!! to anyone who says that the violence we see in films is all negative. One day it just may help us fight off zombies.

  1. I must admit that Zombieland is one of the top ten funniest films I've ever seen. I would rate it right up there with The 'Burbs, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Ghostbusters (those that saw Zombieland know why I mentioned Ghostbusters, I won't spoil the humor). Anyway, something I found interesting is that on IMDB I discovered that Woody Harrelson is a Vegan, so they had to bake him fake twinkies.

  2. I was wondering if this film was going to be any good. I definitely plan on catching it when it comes out on DVD. From what I have seen in the commercials and previews the funniest part to me would be when the old woman pulls the cord and a piano ends up falling on the zombie to crush it after she has gone inside. I can't wait to see this movie now.

  3. I've seen Zombieland twice, and I loved the movie. I thought it was hilarious, and I loved every minute of it. I thought the acting was well done, but I think I just the parity a lot and all the comedy that was filled throughout the movie. I know there are some people who have not seen the movie yet, but I'll just say the cameo later in the movie was excellent. It may have been the best cameo I have ever seen, especially since when the movie first came out, the cameo was not leaked which made it even better. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD because I will most likely purchase it.
